A strange, yet hauntingly beautiful woman approaches you, accompanied by wisps of white smoke and the faint scent of chamomile. Once she has reached a point directly before you, she smiles mysteriously and bows low. You can sense an odd energy about her... one as insubstantial as the smoke, but at the same time, somewhat terrifying. The brunt of the energy seems to radiate from an exotic blade held at her waist by a snowy scabbard.
"Ah... welcome, traveler. The Smoke told of your arrival... I am Basha, the Stranger. Though this be our first meeting, it shall certainly not be the last... indeed, we will be meeting once more at a time much later, however, I digress. There is much to tell you."
Basha's voice is hoarse and strident, a startling opposite to her enchanting appearance. Perhaps her voice became ruined due to breathing the "Smoke" she speaks of.
"This world is semi-literate and up. Abide by this universal law, and thou shalt be victorious in the scheme of all things.
The gods doth smile on those who are kind, but tough: greet every being -- man or beast -- with courtesy and kindness befitting a King. If they are found wanting of manners of their own, deal with them in the fashion they favor (In other words: if they push, feel free to push back).
I am warmly anticipating our future meeting, traveler. Please, enjoy this world, and all that it offers. With that, I take my leave.
May the Smoke guide you on your path."
With her final words, Basha vanishes into a sudden burst of white smoke. When it clears, she is nowhere to be found.
